2013 at TEAM in a nutshell

We are looking forward to 2014 and working with you throughout the upcoming year.

Last year’s launches

Over the last year at TEAM we have seen several new product releases shaped by UK based regulation changes and requests from our customers.

We also launched our Project Tracking & M+V software and version 8 of the Sigma Energy Management software. You may not know that all of our software is developed in house by our specialist Development team. We continually receive feedback from our customers with functionality suggestions which allows us to continually innovate.

Expanding to mobile

More recently we have introduced of the Mobile Data Entry App and Sigma Application Programming Interface (API). The Mobile App allows for manual meter reads to be entered onsite into an Android device or Blackberry and the reads are automatically uploaded in to Sigma.

Training

During the year one of our Energy Consultants Justine Grant, who is the lead trainer for CIBSE, ESTA, TEAM and the B&ES Renewable Heat Incentive Training Courses, trained energy professionals and independent consultants on RHI for Heat Metering throughout the UK. The RHI regulations also saw a set of changes during 2013 which can be viewed here.

2013 Events

May saw the start of our Regional Support Groups roadshow where our Directors and Support Engineers took a tour around 11 regions in the UK providing software training, updates on Government legislation and spread the TEAM news and discussed projects for the year ahead. We met some new faces and saw some familiar ones at large Energy events across the UK, where we not only held demonstrations of our latest products but TEAM Directors and Consultants provided speaker presentations and held places as panel members. The events also gave us the chance to gain valuable feedback and customer feature requests.

Our 26th User Group Conference in November was a hit with our customers. We saw some fantastic customer case study presentations, highlights on the main stage included Natalie Jarman, Compliance Manager at Sainsbury’s, and Euan Hilton, Contracts and Data Manager from Northern Rail. Additional industry focused presentations were given by Tony Goforth, Environmental Manager at Humber NHS Foundation Trust, George Barr, Energy & Environmental Officer from West Mercia Police and Matthew Arnold, Senior Client Officer – Energy at East Sussex County Council. We are very grateful to all of our speakers and attendees for contributing to such an important event in the TEAM calendar. The day, as with every year, proved incredibly valuable all round, updating customers on what’s new from TEAM, presentations on new functionality and in turn customers providing an insight into the new challenges they face.

Customer Support

A big leap for our Support staff and customers was the introduction of a new Customer Support Portal. The portal provides important resources and communications with our customers. It allows you to keep updated with announcements, get answers to your questions from the TEAM community via a forum, and share your feature suggestions with us. You can also Submit a Request to the Support Team and then check the progress.

During September we introduced Wednesday Webinars, produced for our software customers as refresher training on specific functionality within Sigma. The webinars were very well attended; and we have taken onboard customer suggestions for further webinars which we are currently scheduling in during 2014.

Back in the office

Last year, staff at the TEAM offices took part in a range of fundraising activities for charities close to their hearts. As an organisation we also support our local environment and nearby organisations. Find out more…
