Located in the centre of Middlesborough, Teesside University houses over 2,000 staff and 20,000 students. The university has grown 7% in floor area and through the combination of 283 AMR meters and Sigma Energy Management Software, they have been able to identify discrepancies in their energy consumption that would have otherwise gone unnoticed. Stephen Middleton commented:
“Using Sigma Software ensures all the data is kept in one place, which makes it a lot easier for me to carry out my daily checks and look for any obvious signs of energy waste.”
Sigma Software has played a fundamental part in helping the University reduce its CO₂ emissions by 18% from 2009/10 to 2013/14. While water consumption has also been reduced by 30% during the same timescales.
I use Sigma for savings and I import a massive amount of AMR data into the software. I can run different types of reports which show all the different types of savings I can make.
